From October 28th to November 1st, 2001, Natasha and Marco Romero travelled to Taipei to launch the " Taiwan Save The Tiger " campaign. The trip was sponsored by 7-Eleven (owned by President Group), National Geographic Channel and China Airlines. During this time, they were very warmly received and assisted by their conservation partners The Society of Wilderness and by their sponsors. In just a few days, it was clear that friendships were started.

On October 30th, a well-attended press conference and campaign launch was held in the former residence of the Mayor of Taipei. Presentations were made by all the campaign partners encouraging the people of Taiwan to rise-up and make generous contribution to help prevent the extinction of wild tigers.

Early in the morning of November 1st, Natasha and her father were touched when they anonymously witnessed many people making donations at one of Taiwan's 2877 7-Eleven stores, near their hotel, and walking away reading the beautiful 16 page campaign brochure produced by President Group.

"The people of Taiwan have been so nice to us. You can see there's many of them who really care about the environment and about the tiger. " said Natasha. " This is magical and very gratifying. It has always been our dream to be embraced by and work with the people Asia" commented Marco.
